Garlic Butter Noodles

These garlic butter noodles sound like they only have garlic and butter, but they get help from fish sauce, oyster sauce and parmesan cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb egg noodles
  • ½ stick unsalted butter
  • 3 T minced garlic
  • 1 T low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 T granulated sugar
  • 1 T oyster sauce
  • 2 T fish sauce
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan
  • ¼ cup chopped scallions

Instructions

  1. Boil egg noodles in a pot until they are just cooked and still al dente. Drain and place the noodles in a large bowl.
  2. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant. Add in remaining ingredients, except cheese and scallions, and stir until combined. Turn off heat.
  3. Add the sauce to the noodles and toss. If using, add the Parmesan and scallions. Serve immediately.
